Food Challenge Wednesday
It is "hump" day and to get over that hump, sometimes it is just easier to order out for dinner. But today we want you to stay in and still have your restaurant favourite. This can be whatever you enjoy ordering the most. Maybe it is a plate of nachos from your favourite local sports bar, or chicken from your favourite fried food place. Either way we challenge you to recreate your favourite dish!
As a little inspiration today we are sharing a recipe for a Copy Cat spice blend for Fried Chicken!
Fried Chicken
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Allspice
1/2 tsp Sage
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Basil
We recommend flouring the chicken first, then placing it in an egg mixture (3 eggs whipped - salt and pepper - buttermilk if you are so inclined), and then adding this seasoning blend to 1/2 cup of flour.
