Stocking Stuffers (Ideas and Links)

Today, I wanted to make sure I got this out in time for orders so it simply could not wait another day! So I am just going to add links to things I found pretty cool or unique and hopefully that will offer some ideas.

From Prudy's:

Philbert Plushie - He is a cute little hedgehog the description says he loves cuddles, naps and backpack adventures so I am assuming that means he is a little clip-on for your bag. He is very cute in the photo they have he has a little hat on. This is a play on one of their chocolates called "Chocolate Hedgehogs". You can also find Philbert in a set. The Philbert Plushie Gift Set includes Philbert Hedgehog Plushie, their "famous" hazelnut gianduja Hedgehogs (in a pack of 3), and a patriotic milk chocolate Maple Leaf Lolly.

The Campfire Bar - this sounds amazing. It would be a wonderful gift for campers or outdoorsy people but also good for anyone who loves s'mores! This bar has a graham cracker that is layered with soft caramel, a gooey marshmallow and then the whole thing is covered in milk chocolate! And as a bonus, they are a part of the 3 for $15 program Purdy's has.

Canadian Ice Wine Truffles - if you love sweet Ice Wine, you will love these chocolates. I have seen these once before in a chocolate shop and they were much more expensive and I have to admit I didn't really like those. I found they tasted too much of the wine and not enough of the chocolate. But I think these are different. From reading the reviews they sound like they are light on the alcohol and like the dark chocolate really balances the whole thing out! Again, another great bonus is that this pack of 7 is part of the 2 for $25 dollar program they have on their website.

Milk and Dark Chocolates & Roasted Nuts - this isn't as unique as the other gifts but it did catch my attention. I have never seen a box with both of these things in them, usually, it is chocolate or nuts. In this box, you get 16 of their custom made chocolates coupled with a selection of cashews, almonds, pecans, and macadamias all roasted in-house.

From So Sweet Canada:

So Sweet Canada has a wide range of items. This is often a great way to find stocking stuffers. These are all food-related but that's okay. If you have a foodie in your life or just someone obsessed with one thing or another this is a great little gift for them.

Seasonings - they have a whole section dedicated to seasonings. Now, this may seem odd, but if you have someone who is obsessed with a certain restaurant this may be a great gift. They have sauces and seasonings from places like Buffalo Wild Wing, Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, and Trader Joe's. I thought that was pretty unique, I have never seen these things in Canada (maybe in the States it is more of a thing because most of these restaurants are in America).

Baking - they have a lot of interesting things in the backing section. If you have an Oreo lover in life they have all kinds of Oreo themed baking projects. But what really caught my eye was the Jello. They have Starburst Jello! They have five different flavours (All Pink, Watermelon, Blue Raspberry, Cherry and Lemon). I have personally never seen that before, again maybe we just don't get it up here, but I thought that was pretty cool.

Sodas - now I know all of these are sounding quite odd. But food things have become very popular lately due to food subscription boxes. And these sodas are;t your average colas. They have all kinds of odd things I have never heard of let alone seen. Stuff like 7up Saveur Mojito from France, or BARR Bubblegum from the UK, and other colas and drinks from Korea, China and Japan!

Chocolate - Again this may not be the right choice for you or your family, but something that really caught my eye is how many different KitKat flavours they have. Mostly from Japan, they have all kinds of different flavours we just never see around here. Flavours like Banana Caramel or Peach Parfait.

Popcorn - these really stood out to me. They have Popcorn flavoured with candy, cereal and cookies! That's pretty unique. They have Butterfinger, M&Ms, Snickers, Twix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Oreo.

Candy Depot

Let me start by saying there is so much cool stuff on this website that it is insane! You can probably find something for almost everyone on your list here! Like the So Sweet Canada, I am going to write about general things and link ones that I found caught my eye and you can feel free to look at them more in detail yourself.

Pokemon - I don't know the first thing about pokemon and they have so much this article would be huge (as if it isn't already). So I am just going to touch on the things that stood out to me and you can easily investigate yourself by searching "Pokemon" on their website. They have all kinds of Booster packs and other card packs. They have Pop! Figures in the different pokemon, they have Tins, they have candies and Oreos that are themed Pokemon, they have over one hundred and fifty items. I really didn't realize Pokemon was still this popular.

Harry Potter - much like the Pokemon stuff they have a few to choose from. They have a wand and bookmark set, a lot of games and a few Pop! figures also. What stood out to me is they had Chocolate Wands. They had Harry's Wand, Voldemort's Wand and Dumbledore's Wand. They also had Gummy Candies (So Sweet Canada has the Gummies also) and they had Chocolate Frogs (and for a real fan, Amazon has Bertie Bott's Every Flavoured Beans)!

Pez - these little guys are starting to make a come back too. They used to be popular and then went away for a while and now they are back with all kinds of heads. Candy Depot has Halloween Themed ones, Easter Themed ones, Super Mario Themed, Harry Potter Themed, Paw Patrol Themed, Blues Clues Themed, Star Wars Theme, Cars Themed, Space Jam 2 Themed, Scooby-Doo Themed, DC Comic Superhero Themed, Pokemon Themed, Disney Princess Themed, Frozen II Themed, Lion King Themed, Mickey and Friends Themed, Despicable Me Themed, Aladdin Themed, Hockey Themed (7 Canadian Teams), Finding Nemo Themed, Food Themed, Peppa Pig Themed, Toys Story 4 Themed, and other cartoons I have never heard of (here and here). They even have one of Marilyn Monroe! They also have the refils in Vanilla, Chocolate, Original, Sugar Cookie, and even Sour; it's incredible.

Salt Water Taffy - again, this isn't unique to Cany Depot but the flavour they have I was really impressed with. This list is huge so get ready for it! Cotton Candy (also available at Bulk Barn) Strawberry Cheesecake, Orange Cream, Banana Split, Licorice Swirl, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Egg Nog, Watermelon (also available at Bulk Barn), Peaches N Cream, S'mores (also available at Bulk Barn), Candy Apple, Candy Corn, Frosted Cupcake, Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry (also available at Bulk Barn), Cherry Cola, Neapolitan, Bubblegum (also available at Bulk Barn), Root Beer Float, Blueberry Muffin, Key Lime (also available at Bulk Barn), Red Licorice, Cinnamon Roll, Buttered Popcorn, Cookies & Cream, Maple Bacon, Pina Colada, Tropical Punch, Pickle, Berries and Cream, Sugar Cookie, Raspberry Lemonade, Raspberry, Lemon Cream, Caramel Corn, Macadamia, Lemonade Stand, PB&J, Grape, Buckeye, Chicken & Waffles, Candy Bar, Caramel Apple (also available at Bulk Barn), Apple Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Caramel Mocha, Chocolate Mint, Hot Chocolate, and Red Velvet. (They also have No sugar added Salt Water Taffy here and here.) You can also find a bag of assorted flavours on Amazon. Bulk Barn also has large barrels of Salt Water Taffy you can get scoops from if you just want a mixture.

Candy Canes - This may seem boring, I mean Candy Canes are literally a dime a dozen, you can find them anywhere. But they have come a long way since I was a kid. Now you can get them in all kinds of flavours and that's what Candy Depot offers. They have all kinds of Candy flavours: Starburst, Skittles, Jolly Rancher, Nerds (Tangy), Airheads, Sour Patch Kids, Jelly Belly, Lifesavers, Red Hots, DumDums, Swedish Fish, Hot Tamales, Smarties (or as we call them in Canada, Rockets), Sweetarts, Trolli (sour), and Spree (most of these are available on Amazon also). They even have some unique ones like Funfetti, Oreo, and Hershey's Mint Candy Canes. And drinks like Soft Drink Candy Canes (7UP, Root Beer and Dr Pepper), Brach's Rainbow Punch, and Hawaiian Punch. They also have LARGE Candy Canes in different Jelly Belly flavours (Cotton Candy, Very Cherry, Peppermint, Watermelon, and Blueberry.

Sweet Treats - of course, all of these places have a wide variety of "treats" but Candy Depot has a lot of "homemade" treats. And while I don't think it is made in house it has the feel of homemade like Peanut Brittle, Cashew Brittle, Mixed Nut Brittle, and Butter Brittle (they also have Butter Brittle with Bacon and Butter Brittle with Ghost Pepper!) They even have Chocolate Covered Mixed Brittle and Peanut Brittle Milk Chocolate Bark Bars. And that's not the only barks they have either. They also have White Oreo Bark, White Chocolate Peppermint Bark and Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark, Heavenly Hash Bark Bar, Pumpkin Spice Bark, Mint Swirl Bark, Crispy Peanut Butter Bark, and Candy ones like Pecan Caramel, Nerds and Gummy Bears!

"Odd Chips" - as I said food is becoming a new thing thanks to subscription boxes. And Candy Depot has some pretty interesting potato chips and other "chip-like" snacks. The first thing that stood out to me is the kinds of Pringles they had. One of my family members loves Pringles and he loves Wendy's Spicy Chicken so to see that had that flavour, I jumped on it! They also had Rotisserie Chicken, Ham and Cheese, Honey Mustard, Parmesan and Roasted Garlic, Groovz Fiery Jalapeno, Groovz Applewood Smoked Cheddar, Salt & Pepper, Buffalo Ranch (they also have this in Lays Stax), Paprika, Flame Extra Hot Cheese & Chilli, Hot & Spicy, Rice Fusion Malaysian Red Curry, Rice Fusion Japanese BBQ Teriyaki, Rice Fusion Peking Duck with Hoisin Sauce, Rice Fusion Indian Chicken Tikka Masala, and some regular ones like Pizza, Groovz Tangy Southern BBQ (Spicy BBQ and Scorchin' BBQ for spice lovers) and Ketchup which I have seen before. They also have ones that are "normal" flavours but I have never seen them before, like Dill Pickle (or for the real pickle lover "Screaming Dill Pickle"), and Cheddar Cheese (or Scorchin' Cheddar if you like the spice). Lay Stax also have some interesting flavours like Chile Lemon, Flamas Mas Caliente, Extra Flamin' Hot, and Tangy Limon. Along with these pretty spicy options they also have Cheddar, and Bacon & Cheddar Potato Skins (they also have TGI Fridays Brand Bacon Ranch Potato Skins, Jalapeno Cheddar Potato Skins, and Cheddar & Bacon Potato Skins). In the regular bags of Lays, they have some crazy flavours like Kobe Steak, Beef Noodles, Duck, Garlic Shrimp, Beef Tongue (Gyu Kaku), Nori (Seaweed), and Salted Egg. TGI FRIDAYS also has Mozzarella Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers, and Mac & Cheese Bites (which all seem like Cheese Puff type things), Buffalo Ranch Party Bites (which is a Corn Puff type thing), Onion Rings (which is like a Funyun type thing), and finally Crunchy Cheddar Fries (and their Extreme Heat version). Candy Depot also has a company called "Combos" and they are stuffed snacks (so an outside shell and a flavourful inside). They have Pizzeria Pretzel (So Sweet Canada also has these) and Pepperoni Pizza, 7 Layer Dip, Cheddar Crackers, Cheddar Cheese Bacon, Buffalo Blue Cheese (So Sweet Canada also has these) and Spicy Honey Mustard. Other interesting Chip and Chip like things I have found are Strong Black Pepper Lemon Chicken Chips, Slim Jim's Pork Rinds in Wild BBQ (if you are interested in Pork Rinds, Buster Rhinos has a wide selection!), Andy Capp's BBQ Fries, Cheetos Shrimp Sticks, and finally Planters Cheez Balls, also in White Cheddar and Blazin' Hot!

Chocolate Covered Items - most places have these type of things, they aren't hard to find. But I found things on Candy Depot that I had never even dreamed of let alone heard of. I bought a few of these when I placed my order and I think they would be very interesting for the adventurous person in your life. First, the ones I bought: Lick The Bowl Cake Batter Bites, Birthday Cake Cookie Dough Bites, and Donut Holes in a Bag, They also have Reindeer Snacks Milk Chocolate Gummy Bears (they actually have a lot of Chocolate Gummy Bears at Candy Depot - Milk Chocolate Gummy Bears, and Muddy Bears. Mill Creek Chocolates also has Chocolate Gummy Bears), Birthday Cake Cookie Dough, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites, Chocolate Jube Jubes (they have another kind also, and you can also find these at Mill Creek Chocolates, Walton Wood Farms and Bulk Barn!), Red Velvet Cherries (they have something similar at Bulk Barn of these also), Cookie Dough in a Bag, Chocolate Covered Chips, and Chocolate Covered Cookie Dough.

Pickles - that may seem odd also, to have pickles as a stocking stuffer but they are becoming very popular. They now have pickles in a pouch so you can have them as a snack on the go. Not only that but they have Big Papa Dill, Garlic Joe (you can also find this one at So Sweet Canada) Sour Sis, and Hot Mama Spicy (you can also find this one at So Sweet Canada) They also have Pickle Air Fresheners and Pickle Freezer Pops!

And finally, they have these pretty cool candles! They all have a Candy scent and that makes them pretty interesting to me! They have Life Saver (Cherry, Raspberry, and Watermelon Scents), they have Skittles also (Cherry, and Melon Berry flavours), and Starburst (Blueberry, Green Apple, and Pina Colada).

They also have Pillsbury Candles (Italian Sugar Cookies, Fresh Berry Slab Pie, and Apple Cinnamon Pie).

Amazon

Lindt Lindor Chocolates - Amazon has all kinds of Lindor Chocolates again that I have never seen before. So if someone in your life is a chocolate person they may love some of these new (or new to me) flavours. You can of course find some of these on their website also, and if you want they have a lot of mix and match options on their website. This is just a nice little add on if you are already making an Amazon order. They have Strawberries and Cream, Orange, Caramel and Sea Salt, Milk Chocolate and Caramel, Mint, White Peppermint, and Dulce De Leche. I had never heard of these before so I thought they were cool, of course, they have the assorted ones also.

Walton Wood Farm:

They have a lot of wonderful things but what really stood out to me was their Jams and Sauces. They have Summer Jams (Wild Blueberry Jam, Strawberry Jam), Chipotle Honey Hot Sauce, Silo Stout BBQ Sauce, Sugar Shack Maple Mustard, and Hotter Than Hades Honey! They also have a BBQ Bundle.

Bulk Barn:

Chocolate Covered Items - This seems to be a common theme in stocking stuffers, I am not 100 % sure why. But they are undeniably delicious and a fun little treat. Bulk Barn offers a lot of these things but these are the ones that stood out to me. Chocolate Covered Finnish Berries (these are basically Swedish Berries covered in Chocolate which Mill Creek Chocolates also offers), Chocolate Covered Marshmallow (with M&Ms), Milk Chocolate Almonds, Chocolate Caramel Balls (I bought these and wasn't a fan), Caramel and Sea Salt Pretzel Nibs covered in Chocolate, Chocolate Covered Cashews (these were delicious), Chocolate Covered Peanuts (they also have Caramel covered Peanuts), Chocolate Raisins, and Chocolate Raspberry Cream (these were really good).

Baking Items - if you have an amateur baker or a child that enjoys being in the kitchen these may be perfect for you. They have all kinds of mixes that you just had to add household ingredients to and bake. Things like Banana Bread Mix, Chocolate Cake and Muffin Mix, Cookie Dough Mix, Lemon Poppy Seed Cream Cake & Muffins, Oatmeal Cookie Mix, Red Velvet Cake & Muffin Mix, and Vanilla Cake & Muffin Mix. They also have other baking and cooking things like Graham Cracker Crumbs (great for Cheesecake), Instant Pancake Mix (Organic Multi Grain Option, and Without Wheat) Instant Mashed Potato Flake (which is often used in "Potato Donuts"), Tea Biscuit Mix, and Scone Mix. They also have "Fillings and Spreads" that include many different kinds of honey and Peanut Butters and Pie Fillings like Cherry, Apple, Lemon, and other fillings like Custard and Dulce de Leche.

Other Food Mixes - again if you have an amateur chef or a child that enjoys cooking you may like some of these options. They have great seasoning mixes that are interesting for someone just starting out in the kitchen. And they have mixes for Gravy to make that process simpler (Chicken and Brown, but also Beef Au Jus and "Poutin Sauce"). They also have Fish and Chip Batter (dry Mix), Pizza Dough (dry mix), Mac and Cheese Mix (Cheese Sauce), Quinoa Burger and Croquette Mix, Alfredo Pasta Sauce Mix, Ranch Dip Mix, and even Hollandaise Sauce Mix.

Spice Mixes - again for the foodie in your life these spice mixes are very interesting and a great way to explore different flavours and cultures! They offer Blackening Seasoning, Cajun Seasoning, Coconut Thai Seasoning, Garam Masala, Five Spice, Greek, Allspice, Herb De Provence, Harissa, Italian, Jamaican Jerk, Piri Piri, Shawarma Seasoning, Slovakia Seasoning, Taco Seasoning, Tandoori Masala Seasoning, and Thai Curry Seasoning. But they also had traditional spices (that we are used to here in Canada anyway). Like Montreal Chicken Spice, Montreal Steak Spice, Lemon Pepper, Lemon Salt, Applewood Smoke Seasoning, BBQ Seasoning, Poultry Seasoning, Rib Rub, Seasoned Salt, Southern Style Pork Rub, Steak Spice, Ultimate Seasoning, Zesty Pepper Medley, and Seashore Seasoning (Probably Old Bay).

Mill Creek Chocolates

Chocolates - as you would expect Mill Creek Chocolates has a lot of chocolate to sell! They have Bars, Dark Chocolates, and Boxes of Chocolates and Truffles of all sizes. They have chocolate covered things like Licorice, Sour Keys, Turkish Delights, Paulywogs (Caramel and Pecans), Salted Caramels, Sponge Toffee, Peanut Butter Crisp, Pretzels, Cherries, Mint Smoothies (and in Dark), Peanut Butter Smoothies, Butter Crunch, Almond Crunch, Oreos, Double Chocolate Smoothies (and Dark), Caramels, and Dark Chocolate Covered Ginger. They also have other fun treats like English Toffee, Peanut Butter Popcorn, Peanut Brittle, and Rocky Road Popcorn. And of course, they have Christmas Stuff!
