Sunday Cooking - Na'an Pizzas
This week we are going with the super simple Na'an Pizzas. Everyone loves pizza, but it gets expensive to order out all the time and to make it at home takes a lot of time and patience. This pizza is quick and easy to make, also a great way to get the kids involved in cooking. This is a great meal after a long day of work, or as a quick snack at night.
What you'll need:
Naan (We used garlic flavour) Pizza Sauce Pepperoni Cheddar Cheese (You can use whatever cheese you like or a mixture of cheese) Italiano Spices OPTIONAL: I added sliced mushrooms to mine along with black and green olives. Whatever you like on your pizza is fine. Bacon, tomatoes, onions peppers, pineapple, ham being the most common toppings.
Step one:
Place your Naan on a baking sheet. Spoon and spread the Pizza Sauce over the Naan, right to the edges as much or as little as you like. To get more of a pizza flavour we added Italiano Spices but that is optional. Place the Pepperoni on top of the sauce and add your toppings. (We like our toppings under the cheese, if you like them on top add the cheese first.) Cover with shredded Cheese and bake in the over at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending on how thick your Naan is and how crunchy or soft you want the crust. Then to help with the cheese you can set the oven to broil until you get the golden colour on you desire.
LEFT OVER MAKE OVER:
We are sharing three different recipes to use up not only other left overs but to use up these left over Na'ans if you have them! This is a Left Over Make Over and a BoGo Meal!
This first pizza is called, The White Pizza. This is a great option if you run out of pizza sauce and pepperoni.
Ingredients:
Naan
White Sauce
(I used Homemade Caesar Dressing, Ranch Dressing would be fine or left over Alfredo Sauce)
Cooked and shredded (or chopped) Chicken
Steamed/Cooked Broccoli
Cheese
Directions:
Using the White Sauce as Pizza Sauce, spread it over the Naan. Add the chicken and Broccoli (make sure that both are cooked. When the pizza goes into the over it is NOT to cook it is to heat up the ingredients and melt the cheese.) You can top it with cheese and place in a 350 degree oven until cheese is melted. (For added colouring on the cheese change the oven setting to broil).
Recipe two is a slight variation on the first. This one is the Philly Cheese Steak. Same basic directions except this time we are using Steak, Fried Peppers and Onions, Cheese Sauce and Shredded Cheese. Another great option is to just make garlic bread out of the Na'ans. You can simply butter them with garlic butter and top with cheese.
Finally, our last recipe we call the BBQ Chicken Pizza. This one works great if you run out of Cheese!
What you'll need:
Shredded Chicken
BBQ Sauce
Na'an
Chopped Peppers
Same directions as every other pizza. It should come out great! And you won't even miss the cheese.
