Freebie Friday - Bacon Wrapped Meatballs
Meatballs are usually a crowd favourite and everyone has a different style they make them in. There are almost a 101 ways to make meatballs so for now, here's our take on Bacon Wrapped Meatballs.
What you'll need:
2 pounds of Ground Beef (medium)
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup of Bread Crumbs (we used Panko, or you can crumble up stale bread or crackers)
1 tbsp of Garlic Seasoning
1 bundle of Green Onions (or 1 tbsp of onion salt)
2 pounds of Bacon
Mustard (Optional)
Step One:
Start by adding the ground beef to a mixing bowl. Add in the two eggs, the bread crumb, and the seasoning. Chop and add the green onion. Mix well with hands. If you find the mixture a little sticky, add more bread crumbs, if the mixture feels too try add one more egg.
Create Meatballs and brush lightly with mustard before wrapping in half a piece of bacon (depending on size of meatballs).
Cook at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes. (Note once the bacon is fully cooked the meatball should be also.)
**BONUS RECIPE**
There is never an equale amount of bacon to meatballs. We recommend pan frying any leftover meatballs and creating Meatball sandwiches! We enjoy ours with mustard!
