Craft Along! Prepare Post

As I said last week, our CAL with the Mario graphs came to an end. So today we are going to talk about a different type of "CAL". This is a Craft Along. And what that means is there will be step by step instructions on how to make a few craft projects for Christmas. So this post is to share what we have in mind for Christmas and what you will need to get them started. So if you need a few last-minute gift ideas. Or just simple things you can throw together real quick this will be the thing for you.

We are going to have a lot of baking and sweets next month but I also want to focus on homemade gifts. With COVID being such a big part of our lives this year, money can be tight, going to big stores to shop like usual isn't possible for most people. So we are forced to be creative. And I want to encourage everyone to try and buy local. Support small businesses if you can. They have really been hit hard this year and last year and haven't gotten the assistance they really need. So if you can that is a wonderful gift not only to your family member or friend but to the owner of that business also.

Anyways, back to the crafting. We are going to be making some crochet products, some knitting products, and some little stocking stuffers. So we encourage you to have some of these supplies on hand.

- 100% Cotton Yarn (multiple balls or one large ball)

- Regular Yarn (two to three different colours)

- Glass Jars (ones that seal well - latch tops, and/or other screw tops)

- Cookie Tins

- Baking Supplies (Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, etc)

- Pipsqueak Yarn (2 Big Balls) - Pipsqueak Stripped Yarn (1 - 2 Balls)

** Keep in mind that if you plan on making a lot of one item or craft you will need more supplies. **
