Nerdy Subscription Boxes

On Thursdays, we decided to highlight other subscriptions. These won't really be arts and crafts related. Some may however be an art form. And that is what this one is. Today we are looking at Nerdy Subscription boxes. And some of them are for the Nerdy creator in your life and some are just for movie and game lovers. Either way, they would make great gifts.

We are starting with DungeonInABox. They have three different boxes. First the Physical Box, includes an Adventure Booklet, 2 Encounter Maps, 2 Sculpted Minis, Skinny Minis, Terrain Tiles, Digital Adventure Book, Ambiance Soundtracks, Digital Maps, Digital Character Tokens and Digital Terrain Tiles (according to their website). You can get that one for $36.00 USD (about $61.00 CAD) a month. They also have a Digital Box this doesn't have any of the physical items but it does include all the digital stuff (Digital Adventure Book, Ambiance Soundtracks, Digital Maps, Digital Character Tokens, and Digital Terrain Tiles. This box is $11.95 USD a month. And finally, they have the Minis in a Box box, this includes everything in the digital box but it also includes 2 Sculpted Minis. This box is $19.95 a month. They also have other deals for longer-term subscriptions. Next we have The Wizarding Trunk. This is a Harry Potter themed subscription box. It is a bi-monthly box that costs $54.99 USD (about $95.00 CAD). (They also seem to have a Quarterly box however I couldn't find it on their site anywhere.) They also have other "boxes" That don't seem to be subscription boxes. They have the Keep Collecting Box which sells for $79.99 USD (about $135.00 CAD). They also have a shop filled with items that probably have been featured in previous boxes. As a final note I don't believe these items are "official" products. Which means they aren't licensed by the company that owns the rights to Harry Potter Merchandise. Next we have GeekGear. This one also is a Harry Potter themed box but they have a lot of options to choose from. They have the Wizardy Box, the Wearable Box, the Wand Box, and they have Gift Boxes. So the Wizardy Box says that it has 1 Exclusive T-shirt Design, 5 to 7 Other products including prelicas, Wands and More. This box sells for 30.69 pounds sterling (about $52.00 CAD). They also offer a Wizardy Special Edition Box that is bi-monthly. The Wizardry Wearable Subscription box has 2 T-shirts, 1 long sleeved shirt and 1 - 2 accessories. It is priced at 29.99 pounds sterling (about $50.00 CAD)a month, and of course they discount the price if you order more months at a time (2 months, 6 months, 1 year). They also have the Wizardry Wearable Lite Box that gives just one t-shirt a month. And finally we have the Wands Subscription Box. This is only for one wants a month and it is $28.93 (CAD) a month. Of course if you subscribe for more than one month at a time the price will change. Also keep in mind it ships from the UK so shipping and handling is not included in the price. Finally, we have HagSwag! This is a Canadian Subscription boand they describe it as a "Monthly subscription box for the hags, weirdos and bewitched". The shipping is free in Canada and $9.99 (CAD) anywhere else. They state that each month (the box) will contain "7 to 10 items valued at a minimum of $100! These items include self care, new age, occult, accessories and more." The box sells for $64.99 and it says that you can save by subscribing for multiple months at a time.
