Pick a Path - Crochet Along Options (Ultimate Crochet Along)
If you are making the Ultimate Crochet Along with us, you should have a few scarves by now, three blankets, and at least two pillowcases! Now we are getting into the Graphgans that use a number of different graphs. It's time to pick a pathway. We are showing off two but again if you want to play around with them and rearrange them other ways that is totally up to you!
So now there is a choice to be made. Path number one or path number two. Either way, they will both work out. This is just to help lay things out for each blanket, should anyone want to crochet the different blankets in different stitches. Also, it will be easier to keep things organized by knowing which graph goes to which blanket. Today we are going to release the layouts for both pathways.
Pathway one:
As you can see these layouts are pretty straightforward. The only thing that changes you can see in layout one the bright blue line is the added five lines changing those graphs from 35 x 20 to 40 x 20.
Pathway two:
As you can see the difference between the two is that in pathway one the 35 x 20 graphs have been used in layout two and the 40 x 20 ones have been used in layout one. The opposite is true for pathway two, the 40 x 20 are used in the second layout and the 35 x 20 are in the first layout.
Now using the 40 x 20 graphs in layout two also changes the above and below rows. If you are going with layout two on pathway two (above), You can choose to push the 40 x 20 graphs all the way to the bottom (the blue line below the green, red, dark blue and medium blue boxes), or all the way to the top (above the wine, lime green, light pink, and dusty rose boxes), or you can put one 40 x 20 graph on the top and one on the bottom. This would leave room for a 20 x 20 graph in between both.
(NOTE: For a better picture of what this would look like, see layout two on pathway one. The 40 x 20 graphs would replace the black boxes - in each corner.)
