Review Wednesday - HelloFresh Week 43
This is our last HelloFresh Review!! It seems just yesterday we started writing about our experiences. I must say there were a lot of ups and downs but I am very glad we gave HelloFresh a chance. I would recommend these kits for someone who doesn't know how to cook, or who lives in remote areas where you can get all these ingredients easily. They were also a great resource through this pandemic, and it was really nice to be able to share free meals with the people that mean the most to us. The things I came away with and I hope I conveyed well is that these kits are to inspire you. You can take all the items they give you and make your own meal out of it, you do not have to follow their recipe to the tee. You can add things you have at home or take away things you don't enjoy. Also, a lot of these recipes you can make at home. So you can always look at the recipes online and make them at home with your own ingredients.
Anyways this week we are going to talk about Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Pork Schnitzel Patties, Greek-Style Chicken and Potatoes. All these we have had before and were good so I wanted to end on a high note. Take note that I say that a lot and it is because after a while you end up taking the same recipes over and over again. First, we are going to talk about the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Fries. I don't always enjoy the "Fries" part of these meals because they always have you bake them and I don't find that makes them good. Especially, when you are trying to make fries or wedges or something like that. The sandwich is a good one though. This again is one of those you can easily make at home. The only hard part may be the spices but it is just a Spicy BBQ seasoning (or in this case Jerk Seasoning) which shouldn't be too hard to find.
Next, we have Pork Schnitzel Patties with Warm Brussels Salad. This one was actually very good. We have had it before, but we enjoyed it very much. Again, it is so simple to make at home. You just add a little breadcrumbs and spices to the pork and cook them like patties. And the salad was super simple too just chopped brussels sprouts into a salad. And again you can make it all your own, as you can see in the photo I boiled the Brussels Sprouts and had them with a little butter and salt instead.
And finally, Greek-Style Chicken and Potatoes with Veggies and Feta. This one again we have had before and it is super easy to make at home. All it really is is Potatoes, Vegetables, Chicken, Greek Spices and Feta Cheese. It is very good, and one of our favourites but again another simple meal you could easily make at home.
